This quick stop at Porthcurno West Cornwall was just long enough to take in the sight of one of the UK’s prettiest beaches.
The photographs really don’t do it justice, to see it in person with the sun shining was like looking at a photo from the Mediterranean, the colour and sparkle of the water against the white sand was quite something, and totally unexpected.
Yet another British hidden gem!

Love UK’s coastal beaches, I need to explore more.I’ve only been to St Ives but this beach looks beautiful

Hope you manage to do some exploring in 2018, it’s incredible how much beauty there is in the UK that goes largely unnoticed by most of us (I’m guilty too). St Ives seems to be one of the most popular seaside towns – I guess sometimes we just grow attached to places and keep going back 😊x

Wow! Absolutely beautiful.
Cherryl
Very much so x 🔆
Thanks for looking
Little Chef
I’ve always loved beaches and shorelines. These pictures look stunning!😍 If only I could pack my bags and set off right away.
Cherryl
Lol, I know that feeling, we can never get too much of a good view x

If I blanked out the title of this post I would NEVER this was in the UK? How beautiful is the blue ocean and the sand? X
Cherryl
I know, I just couldn’t get over it – move over Blackpool lol 🔆

I am impressed. So Britain actually has a beach that does look like a beach?
(Tongue in cheek emoticon).
(I can’t imagine the water temperature though)
Cheers

Ha ha! Yes I think it was probably a bit on the cold side, but a lot of people don’t seem to mind that (I’m not one of them, I need the water to be reasonably warm).

I was brought up (and went back to live) in the tropics. 🙂
Went to Brighton 2 years ago, with a freezing wind on a summer day, but the water was full of swimmers. 🙂

I didn’t realise this beach was so nice! I’m definitely going to venture down there!
Cherryl
Definitely worth a trip x

You’ve brought back all my memories of my visit to the Minack in September. Caught ‘Peter Pan’ on its last day. Fabulous.

That’s just wonderful!

Many thanks for dropping by my blog. Looks like we are doing Cornwall at the same time! We did north coast last week and the Lizard now. So many beautiful places to see. The Minack Theatre and Porthcurno are on our list of places to go!
Cherryl
I had never been to Cornwall before until this month and I was really blown away by how much beauty there is there – a much needed contrast from city life!

We have been to Cornwall many times but still get blown away! And rained on …. but its still an amazing place.
Cherryl
Oh yes, even with the rain – the moody grey back drop is still pretty x
Shoot from the Trip
