Land’s End and Carn Galver Mine

So I can finally say I’ve been to Land’s End, one of Britain’s most famous coastal landmarks. There is something about the coast that is very therapeutic and calming, no matter where you are in the world.

Land’s End is the most south-westerly tip of Britain, it was privately owned until it was purchased by the National Trust for just under 7 million!

There are penguins around Lands End, somewhere…..

This old tin mine was in use until the late 1870s

I love that you thought exactly the same as we did when finally visiting Land’s End: at least we can say we’ve been there! It was June when we visited last year and a lovely day. We (meaning husband and I and one of our daughters who’d wanted to visit Carn Euny for years!) spent some time wandering about and soaking up the views of the cliffs and out to sea. Your photos are excellent – so clear. A lovely post, Cherryl, that took me back to my own visit there.
