Antalya City Harbour is a popular tourist region in Turkey, framed by majestic snow topped mountains and amazing deep blue seascapes.
A visit down to the harbour is a must unless you don’t like pretty views!

Without a doubt, Turkey is a beautiful country, from what Ive seen and heard from people I know who have travelled the country more extensively – it has a very diverse range of sights and settings to explore.
I only saw a snippet, if that – so there are lots of good reasons for a return visit in the future.
Spending Money!
Uncharacteristically, I found myself going home with most of the spending money I’d brought with me to Turkey, and felt secretly chuffed with myself.
Honestly, you will be sick of the sight of brand label clothing and handbags by the end of a week’s stay, especially when it’s the same thing over and over, everywhere you go.
One seller asked me “you don’t like bags…?” as though I should be automatically smitten, grasping at my purse, unable to control myself at the thought of a new fake designer handbag. “No thank you, not today” 😊
There are some people who fit that description, but I’m definitely not one of them. Honestly, if I see another Micheal Kors bag 🙄 (real or fake).
The night before my flight
Well the plan ‘was’ to try and have an early night for my flight in the morning, but the hotel next door decided to have a mega outdoor party with fireworks and all night DJ – practically under my balcony!
It was hilarious hearing the DJ trying to do an English accent in between 50 Cent, Rihanna and the Spice Girls!!
The party was part of the ongoing Iranian new year celebrations that were sweeping Antalya at the time of my stay.
and then…
I had a screaming baby in front of me all the way back to Gatwick – it amazes me that a baby can scream non stop for hours without getting a sore throat, or just exhausted – the baby stopped crying when we landed ✈️

For some reason I thought Turkey would be a lot more busy looking. It looks like all the spots you captured were pretty peaceful. It reminds me a bit of Greece. Is April less touristy?

Antalya City felt fairly busy but not overly so, there were a lot of tourists in the area, Antalya seemed a lot more cosmopolitan than I expected it to be to tbh, plenty of traffic. The harbour was pretty busy with tourists too, but not unbearably. I was out there over Easter (school holidays) so it was quite busy (my plane was full both ways) but it probably heaves with tourists May/June onwards as there are a lot more travel agent package deals for that period – plus the weather gets better out there too, though July/August can get up to 40 degrees c by all accounts – yikes!!
