Out and About Around Wales

Apparently, Wales consumes more oven chips than any other part of the UK, and Mount Everest was named after a welshman – interesting facts!!

Here’s more from my welsh galavants this summer…….

St Fagan’s National History Museum – castle gardens – you feel like you’re in a secret garden

St Davids Cathedral, Pembrokeshire, Wales

Melin Tregwynt Mill

The UK’s smallest city – St David’s

St David’s is more like a village but technically it’s a city because of it’s catherdral.

Picked up this set which is made from glass collected from Pembrokeshire beaches!

Melin Tregwynt Mill

This was a quick visit to a traditional seventeenth century welsh weaving mill that manufactures a wide range of woollen products including rugs, throws, blankets bags and scarves.

St Fagan’s National History Museum, Cardiff

St Fagan’s is a predominantly open air museum based in Cardiff with a collection of welsh artefacts. Be sure to wander up to the castle and admire the pretty gardens. For kids there are lots of out door rope and climbing activities high up in the air.
