Castle Combe has been labeled the prettiest village in England, it’s a typically picturesque Cotswolds village in Wiltshire. Walking around this place really did feel like walking through the set of a film, with it’s cute post office, beautiful stream, and Hansel & Gretel style cottages.
The village gained it’s wealth from the wool trade over 1500 years, particularly during the  medieval era when it functioned as a weaving town.
Castle Combe was the setting for the1967 film Dr Doolittle along with Stephen Spielberg’s 2010 film War Horse, Agatha Christie’s Poirot, and the films Stardust and The Wolfman.
Kate Moss, Kate Winslet, Lilly Allen, Hugh Grant and Michael McIntyre are a few familiar names known to reside in the Cotswolds – I didn’t see any of them while I was there though!
Around 80% of the Cotswolds is farmland and it spans across eight english counties…….
