Nothing

Master the art of doing nothing

Lying

Flopping

Sprawling

Snoozing

Sleeping

Thinking about nothing in particular

Stretching

Lounging

Floating

Drifting

Hearing

Feeling

Stop

Be

Ultimately, do nothing

As I wrote this, all I could hear was the rustle of a tree outside the window, wind blowing through it again and again. The sun was bright and warm, like a smile from the heavens, the leaves reflected the sun’s light with golden shimmers, while my mind felt light and clear with none of the weeks thoughts or distractions. My breathing was soft and calm, tensions were floating away. The sky was blue, I stretched out like a lazy cat, closed my eyes and snoozed.

A little ‘nothing’ time, is good for our wellbeing, since life is often heavily tipped toward being busy, rushing around, multitasking, planning ahead, catching up, the list goes on.

A little nothing time shows we care about ourselves enough to give our minds and bodies moments of total breathing space, stillness, calm and deep rest – consciously, not just in sleep.

Relax without distractions (TV, phones, devices).

Be still

Be at ease

Relax
