A Quiet Night in Tobago: Star Gazing Before Bedtime

On a quiet night in Tobago, I sit out on the upstairs veranda and look heavenwards into the ink black abyss above.

The sky offers a sparkly shelter, with stars shimmering like jewels in the light, it’s the kind of sky that hypnotises, and locks you in a ‘starry eyed’ trance.

I see a shooting star, it’s a thrill to witness and a moment I’ll never forget.

The camera and I struggled to capture a sharp picture since I still have a lot to learn about night time photography!

On a quiet night in Tobago, not all is quiet.

Beneath the caribbean skies, the sound of music from all kinds of tropical wildlife rings loudly through the humid night time air, whispering through the thick trees, stretching high up into the rain forests.

Maybe they’re saying goodnight, or whispering a prayer.

Until tomorrow, good night Tobago, sleep tight and take care.
