How nice to arrive to an empty airport with hardly any queues, and friendly immigration staff, before heading to some equally empty white sand beaches. The tag line ‘Antigua Nice’ really did fit the bill. The sun seemed to be blazing hotter than ever and as it happens, locals said it was was uncharacteristically hot that year. When caribbean locals start complaining about the heat, you know somethings up, but for me, it was a welcome contrast to the UK winter.
