Daisy Daisy….

“give me your answer do….. ” 🎶

Daisy Bell. Who knows the song? It’s one of those cheerful old sing along songs that we don’t really hear much of these days.

The daisy flower is just as cheerful, and perfect for lifting the mood, they always look so dainty and happy! 🌼

The painting below was inspired by a mass of daisies growing throughout a meadow patch in Kew Gardens, growing wild and free, beautiful.

This was fun for me to try and paint!

Interesting Facts

Apparently the daisy has reached all corners of the globe, apart from Antartica, and you can eat their vitamin C rich ‘salad leaves’ – according to World of Flowering Plants. Daisies are also known to have a variety of medicinal properties, including remedying indigestion.

Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a bright and cheerful day✨

  1. Michele Sperber – When I thought about what God would have me to write on this blog, I heard the Lord say: “Come forward! Step over the line!” As I pondered these words, I realized that we are all unique expressions of God and that we must not... we dare not allow anything but the real us manifest... Indeed, we must step forward as “No longer I, but Christ!” I have been called with a mandate to write and it is especially through allegories that I step over the line. It’s with abandonment and joy that I give expression in my writings to what I’ve learned and assimilated through the trials and suffering I’ve been through... They are even my lifeblood in written form. Truly it takes great tribulation for us to enter new states of being... to come into the place that we have true riches to give to others. This allegory reveals what I hope to be known about me and to be known about you, too: Nothing in Herself, Yet Somebody

What a delightful post Cheryl!! I felt joy instantly when I looked at the bright vivid colors and the beauty of innocence you conveyed in your painting. Daisies have special meaning to me that I wrote about in this post: https://ridetheheavens.com/2022/06/22/it-hurts-to-be-rejected/ I hope it will be a blessing to you like your post was to me.
Seeing Christ in your work and thanking God for you.

  2. windsofchange18 – Love the morning sun as it rises upon the mountain top enjoying a hot cup of coffee or tea life should be simple like that. Raising my children and now adults My life is a bit quieter these days. Writing has grown even more important. My blog and the words I share with you come straight from my heart. And this new journey, I am on seems a bit more challenging at times. I know as long as I can put them in words the path will be less rocky. I hope you enjoy my blog and the photos for they were taken with the help of my heart. As I stated before life should be this simple.

Very creative – nice color choices!

  6. Jennifer Pentland Art – United States – I’m Jennifer Pentland, a self-taught artist from the United States whose creative journey began on the stage. Dance was my first language of expression, a way to translate emotion into movement. In time, that same rhythm and feeling found a new canvas in painting. Working primarily in oil and acrylic, I am drawn to the depth, texture, and emotion they offer. Nature is my greatest muse. I paint not only what I see but what I feel – the light shifting through the seasons, the joy in everyday moments. My style blends abstract and contemporary influences, guided by emotion and intuition. Some works are serene, others bold, each telling its own story. Many of my pieces are tied to charitable causes, reflecting my belief that art can uplift, inspire, and give back.
