I’ve gathered another bunch of forgotten photographs, re-discovered during a bit of a phone clear-out. I have many more, so there’ll more posts like this to come. Isn’t it funny, the things we take pictures of and then just forget about them – do nothing with the pictures, they just sit in your phone until one day you go ‘oh, I forgot I took this’
Maybe I should make some little photo books for all my forgotten photographs.
Last Winter
A cosy day at home looking out at the pigeon who must have been keeping nice and toasty over that warm chimney. Wonder if we’ll be getting any snow in the UK this year, I’ve topped up the grit supplies just in case!
21st Century Relationship Advice
I’m standing on a London Underground platform waiting for the tube and see this advice from Taskrabbit (a company I’d never heard of) reminding us not to not to ask our exes for help. Lol, in other words, have some pride, let it go, move on, detach and disconnect!!! Then pay Taskrabbit to help you.
Dracula?

I was mattress shopping, trying and testing different mattresses, having a good bounce and front, left, right side and laid back manoeuvre on each one lol. No big deal.
Then I spot a man a few metres away trying out a mattress, he’s lying flat on his back, full length, legs tightly together with his arms crossed over his chest like a scene from Dracula.
He stays in that position for a while, a min or so later I look back over to him and he’s still there, lying in the same rigid position, eyes closed, never moving an inch, he was there for quite a while….giving it a good test.
There were no pillows on that mattress so he could only really lay flat, maybe he doesn’t sleep like that at home, but it did make me wonder!
Breakfast
Waiting for my omelette in a Cuban hotel. No cheese. Forgot to ask for mushrooms!! Such a classic holiday breakfast that never tastes quite as good at home.
Flowers and Cherries
Flowers really do lift a room or space in the house, they’re not just for special occasions……every day is a special occasion really, another day enjoying life 🙏
As for the cherries, this pic got me thinking – a few years ago I remember seeing an appliance specifically designed to remove seeds from cherries – I think I bought one, why? I . do . not . know.
It’s not like I’m planning to make or bake anything using cherries, in fact I’m not keen on baked things with cherries or cherry flavoured things, I only like the fresh fruit. Bit of a silly purchase for me (not like me at all), it’s probably in a storage box of ‘things’ I haven’t reached for in years ….really must go through those boxes and have a sort out.
Architecture
When we’re busy, on the go and absorbed in normal day to day shenanigans it’s easy to overlook some of the beauty that stares us in the face all the time….we notice it in other countries when we’re on holiday then ignore it at home.
Oxford Street (London) has some beautiful buildings if we’d only bother to look up from time to time.
How to increase your ‘repeat customer’ rate!!
Spotted in the entrance of one of those kilo/vintage clothes shops in Leeds – saying what they mean and meaning what they say 😂
Food Waste

The time I went into a branch of ASDA and it seemed like nearly everything had a reduced sticker on it. Had they fallen behind with stock rotation? Short staffed?? Whatever it was, it was a bit strange seeing so much fresh food reduced all at once – usually it’s just a few items. I didn’t buy any of it, I was only in the area for a couple of nights but it’s shocking to think a lot of this might have ended up going to waste.
Currently, there’s a live UK Gov.Parliament petition to ban supermarkets from throwing away edible food, closing 9th April 2027.
Have a great week ahead 💫 🤗

Fun and interesting post, photos and musings Cherryl. The first one of the pigeon near the chimney reminded me of a house and pet sit we did recently. Just before we were due to arrive their pet galah flew down the lit chimney and, obviously, didn’t survive. Very silly and sad.
Isn’t it amazing how many random photos we take over the years. Mattresses, food, signs, scenes. Thanks for sharing.
Appreciate the images and the commentary! ♥️♥️♥️
Nice set. Your comments show how much even abandoned photos can remind us of memorable experiences.
Love the commentary, as if I were there looking at dracula matress testing with you. Maggie
Interesting read.
