I received this kit as a free product in return for customer review.
Firstly, I figured the Zookki kit was probably adaptable to any GoPro-like action camera.
I’ve yet to give my action camera, the Lynec 1080P action camera a thorough test run (including underwater) and will review this at a later date; in the meantime I’ll be trying my action cam out with the Zookki Essentials kit for this blog.
You get a lot of kit for your money in this bundle, much of which will double up as spare parts (screws and adapter pieces) for things you already have, or useful items to experiment with.
All the reviews I’ve read for this kit are positive, which makes for a confident start.

….and breath!!

Hard shock proof case – very good quality

More bits and pieces
I might use the case as a main camera case for hand luggage – with just the moist needed bits including batteries, charger/usb lead, spare memory cards. The rest can go in my hold luggage.

I have so many of these nuts and bolts from my original camera package plus these!!

Double sticker pads
MONOPOD
CHEST STRAP

Chest strap fits very comfortably and is fully adjustable

I struggled with the attachments to get the camera to stay upright whilst attached

I ended up using a swivel/tripod attachment but the camera ends up hanging upside down once you let go (it swings downwards), so you end up having to flip your footage round via when editing afterwards. Now this could be due to the fact that this kit isn’t designed for the Lynec 1080P action camera (though everything else/all the pieces seem to fit it perfectly). Not sure if I’ll be using this strap, but it is rather good if you want to film discretely or keep your hands free for other things.
Filming upside down as you can see….though easily remedied when editing. When attached the right way up, it leans downward and won’t stay up straight.
SUCTION CUP
The suction base is really easy to use once you figure out!
- Flip the lever upwards
- Place on the surface you wish it to be suctioned on to
- Press down hard on the button (next to the lever) and then push the lever downwards whilst still pushing the button at the same time
HEAD STRAP
This might not look particularly flattering but I can imagine situations where this would be very handy, like a music concert, swimming, mountain climbing, whilst sunbathing (to catch any weirdos that approach when they think you’re not looking) etc…..
I was surprised at how comfortable this felt on my head – not tight or irritating, and it is fully adjustable to suit your head. The strap also has a strip of sticky type jelly running around the inside which clings to the skin to help stop it from sliding.
TIGHT FLAT CLIP
This clip could also work on a bag strap, belt or clothing quite easily with a very strong grip.

The velcro strap did a good job of attaching itself to this bag strap.
All in all this is a very good bundle, great value for money and a great starting pack for building your action camera equipment, I would certainly recommend it as a starter kit or back up kit.
FLOATING HANDLE

Just a couple of criticisms. There is no rubber grip on the plastic so easy to slide out of a wet hand; additionally, there is nothing at the end of the flotation handle to thread the blue wrist strap through!! If this slips from your grasp it could float out to sea!!
