Indian Hotels: A Delhi Hotel and an Agra Hotel

Hotel Inspector

This is the first of two very quick ‘sneak peeks’ into the Indian hotels I stayed in during my trip.

They were all lovely, but don’t worry, I won’t bore you with which had the best towels, the stingiest toiletries or the bounciest bed…I’ll save that for Trip Adviser 😉 ….come to think of it, I don’t think I got any towel sculptures (I love those) 😥 but I did get a thick garland of fresh flowers at one of them…Hawaii style, a really nice touch – and a lot of time must have gone into making them, so very much appreciated.

In every hotel I stayed in, the staff were always very polite – I don’t think I’ve ever been addressed as ‘ma’am’ before….

….and as you’d expect, Indian hotels all take their decor very seriously, you never have to look far for an opulent mood or rich vibrant colours.

The Vivanta by Taj Dwarka, Delhi

The Vivanta gives you clean lines and cosy rooms.

Lots of art around the building.

Not much to see or do around the area, but great for a short Delhi stay.

Futuristic vibe going on in the lobby

All the hotel rooms had this ‘attic/eaves’ design

A hot welcome drink

The hotel has lots of art work and interesting displays of information about India in it’s corridors

The Clarks Shiraz Hotel, Agra

A night at the Clarks Shiraz is perfect for a visit to the Taj Mahal since it’s not that far away.

Reception/lobby area

It’s a pleasure to be waiting around on these comfy chairs

Hotel stationary – great souvenir!
